Dr. Candace Lapan: New Faculty Position at Wingate University!
/We are thrilled to announce that our own Dr. Candace Lapan, who was advised by Dr. Janet Boseovski, has accepted a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Psychology at Wingate University!
If you have been following our updates about this super DUCKie, then you may recall that Candy completed her PhD in 2016, after which she spent some time as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Francis Marion University and as Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Virginia.
Candy’s expertise is in social cognitive development; she poses questions concerning how children come to engage in the social comparison process and what it means for their everyday lives and she also seeks to understand how emotions affect children’s cognitive functioning.
Congratulations, Candy! Wingate University is very fortunate to have you as a faculty member and mentor to their students, and we are also fortunate to have you nearby so that you can visit the DUCK Lab frequently.
